"I started as a production manager in the Connect Group plant in Rijen in 2008. At that time, we mainly produced wires, cables and wire harnesses for all kinds of customers.

We also produced cable products that had to be produced in a clean room because of the required cleanliness.

Later, the cables were moved to our plant in Kampenhout to make way for building cabinets for a major customer in Rijen.

A year after the acquisition of Halin by Connect Group, we moved cabinet production to a completely new cleanroom in Veldhoven.

In 2015, I was asked by management to join the sales group. I did an assessment and the outcome was a perfect match so I started 1 July 2015 as Customer Relation Manager in the sales department.

It was fun in my new job to bridge the gap between production and sales and I immediately felt comfortable in my new role because of the knowledge and experience I did have from my previous job.

After 2.5 years as Customer Relations Manager, my position was changed to Business Development Manager, responsible for about 22 different customers.

After 15 years of Connect Group, my work is still challenging and I still enjoy being part of Connect Group."
