Quality Test Engineer

Connect Group offers a wide variety of services to our clients, in Kampenhout we focus on cable assembly, cabinet & electrical cubicle building. Our products need to be extensively tested for quality purposes. 

Regular day to day: 

• As quality test engineer you will contribute by creating and refining test programs that meet customer expectations. You will troubleshoot and debug code when products are under test. You’ll analyse customer test specifications and technical project data, translating this into comprehensive test documentation, including clear test instructions. You will offer support to our test operators who use cable test systems when needed. You will help translate any technical challenges and solve them for smooth operations. 

Process optimisation trough coding: 

• Our testing processes and programs have opportunity for improvement, and with your coding skills you can bring real improvement in speed, efficiency, effectiveness and more. You’ll collaborate using Git and GitLab to ensure seamless code management and integration.

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field (electronics, computer science, software engineering, …) or equivalent in experience is required.
• Coding skills are essential for this role, any of the following languages is welcome: Python, C, C++, C#, Lua, Java, … 
• Experience with Git or similar source control software is highly valued. 
• Experience with data manipulation in excel or google sheets comes in handy.
• Knowledge is electronics and electricity (relays, resistors, coils, …) will help you succeed in this role. 

You are a quick learner, someone who is always looking for the next improvement to drive results. The ability to explain the complexity in a simpler way to our operators is a great asset. You will work closely with the other 2 members of the team and show real team player qualities.
